Grand Finale of last nights Monster Truck finals! Max D makes a complete double back flip!

from the opposite side of the stadium is another video, but of the entire 6 minute finale
skip the first minute and a half, then skip to the 4 minute 50 seconds mark, and that is it.

you can see some good Monster Jam videos here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHPoYW5znj_1uUOixyueEdQ/videos like the entire freestyle event from last nights season Finals.

If you can only see one Monster Truck event, you ought to know that the finals are by far, much better than the city tours.

Biggest air of the San Diego Monster Jam 2013 was from the Hot Wheels truck

compared to the photos of the other trucks, this was the only one to get it's front wheels over the Lucas Oil sign lettering

2nd best recovery of any monster truck at the San Diego Monster Jam 2013

fully on it's side

Hooked the front tires into the ground and pulled it out of a roll with countering by powering opposite to the roll

ran out of space, and hit the dumpster barrier

It hit the dumpster hard enough to move it about 6 feet. But a great save from nearly crashing

Amy is covering sports, for Shegamesports.com and wrote a couple articles about Monster Jam 2013 San Diego (as a hobby, her day job is a Navy CT1 life)

Directed at the girls and women that don't bother with the gender roles of the 18th century Victorian nonsense, and mostly focused on Hockey (anyone else have great memories of a San Diego Gulls game?) Amy surprised the hell out of me when she came into the press box at the Monster Jam event last weekend.

Not only is she covering Monster Trucks as a journalist (not many people do) but her prime focus is covering Hockey. Ok, wrap your mind around that. In the entire world of hockey journalists, maybe a couple hundred people? I met one that is also venturing into motorsports coverage like Monster Trucks and Nascar.

Now that is a one of one reporter.

The above photo is from Amy, in her article of the impossibly cool 15 year old Rosalee  http://shesgamesports.com/monster-trucks-a-family-affair/ who drives her own monster truck "Detour", and wrenches on it and her dads Monster Truck "Time Flys"

in Amy's article "Girls guide to Monster Jam" she interviews JP of El Diablo, and gives a consise idea of what it's like for a first time Monster Truck event. http://shesgamesports.com/girls-guide-to-monster-jam/

And her Hockey coverage website? http://www.siren1363.com/  where her interviews of coaches, NHL players, club presidents, in addition to her game coverage, are found

more than incredible, it's stunning. Maximum Destruction running the course on only 3 wheels and guts

Even monster trucks can do a "Stoppie" (wheelie on the front wheels, the rears in the air for a good distance)

Right at the 30 second mark

Grave digger had a special display and photo shoot area for fans set up in the pits, they really did a great job. San Diego Monster Jam 2013

This was news to me, I didn't know that this was the origin of Grave Digger

People could get their photos take in a Grave Digger... now that is damn cool. No one else has had that level of open door policy with a Monster Truck that I've ever seen.

Below: It's on some type of support under the vehicle, and the kids could spin the tires by hand

Kids wanted to see what the tail fur felt like

Kids wanted to climb on the tires, and then they realized it wasn't quite as fun as it was scary
