thanks to Jay for sending them to me, you can see that the Ramchargers and My Norms were participating, and that this wasn't a single event.

I'm sure that these photos are all over the car websites already, and I think I've posted them too, but I can't find them in the archives, and since it's 49 years later, and February, I'm posting them again to remind others that you don't have to be in Southern California with 80 degree days at Pomona to drag race. You can make stuff happen, or could in the early 60's, with enough determination.

It was the winner of the (Tulsa Oklahoma )World Nationals in 1967.. and was 2 years old. Obsolete by most opinions of drag racers, but beat the factory racers in the newest lightweight cars, with the newest most expensive trick parts. Grumpy Jenkins, Sox and Martin, etc etc etc were not the champs in 1967, it was a couple guys you've never heard of in a 2 year old car that was getting by on pity parts from friends and fans, Like George Hurst who gave them a shifterand line lock, and they won the largest purse to that point for Super Stock  $10,000

miscellaneous things that caught my attention at Mopars at the Strip 2012

 that bottom switch... awesome

 at just the right angle, none of the dashboard instruments show, and it looks pretty good just black and blank

 looks NOS... I wonder if any spare tires out there have ever lasted without ever being used a single time

 either a Demon, or a 72 Dart. Same body, different taillights. Never seen one with louvers punched in the hood though

 weird to see a 68 Coronet with a nose that more closely resembles a Road Runner

 GTX did not have hood scoops like this from the factory, they should have, these 69 -72 Mopar hood scoops look really good. I don't think it had hood pins either, they look great too!

 This was my confirmation that I was going the right way... on your first time to some place you've never been before, it's pretty nice to have a good indication
