the Pendine Sands VHRA hot rod races of 2013 was photographed by Bryn Musselwhite for Speedhunters.com

Pendine has a 7 miles stretch of sand beach, and is one of three speed trials venues in the British isles, it's been used for speed trials since the 1920's when Campbell and Parry-Thomas were reaching speeds over 140 up to 170's in the Sunbeam and Napier

1942 Hudson Woody found in Death Valley, then recreated

This 1942 Hudson Woody Wagon was found at 7,000 ft above Death Valley. At some point in the 50’s it had been stripped of its interior, trim and drivetrain and used as a supply wagon to be dragged behind a tractor by a local miner. In 1969 it was brought back down the moutainside with the intention of restoring it. With its frame past the point of saving, the wagon was used as a template to build a replica body on a donor frame, a process that took over 5 years.

The wagon now sits beside its replica at Hostetler’s Hudson Auto Museum in Shipshewana IN. The most unique feature of this car is that the door panels were extended to cover the running boards, where nearly all Hudsons (and most other woodies) have the door panels come strait down and stop just above the running boards (leaving them exposed).

a variety of good stuff from Go Away Garage

how cool is this old wrecker, they weren't called tow trucks when and where I grew up, they were known as wreckers. One thing I like about this one, the tire covered  front bumper was often used to push a vehicle that couldn't move under it's own power, because a lot of cars then were stick shifts, and if the starter or battery wouldn't work, all you needed was a push start.

above, a Wallis tractor

Above, a Wilkinson motorbike, and the seat! That looks comfortable!

Hard to make out, but the Moroso gold valve covers, and the wheelie bars? I think this was for drag racing

Above, a part of a Norman Rockwell. The best part.

I don't think I've ever seen a woody bus before, but it looks good!

that is the biggest fire gong, or a big train flywheel

the racket 4 motors must have made!

incredible kid sized trailer! Too cool!

damn cool garage shelving idea!

Yup, the dog lovers would likely be outraged at the dogs stuck in the trunk, but it's a neat photo anyway

Genevieve, the movie about the London to Brighton run

the movie is about a guy with a wonderful wife, and she has been putting up with his annual run in the London to Brighton event, and this time, he bets the family savings that he will beat his old pal, the guy in the yellow 1904 Spyker, that his 1905 Darraq will finish first between the two of them

this red car giving a tow? It's actually an Allard

How cool is the 3 wheeler with the red dress wearing passenger in front?

and how cool is this little kids 3 wheeler? Looks like a compartment on the step area I'm familiar with
