Ghost town with a decaying car collection/museum that's been pilfered for years

Learned about this in Motor Trend Classic, spring 2012 issue, and the same photos are used on Jalopnik http://jalopnik.com/5844657/an-oregon-ghost-towns-abandoned-car-museum  but in a nutshell, a ghost town tourist destination and annual sheep wool gathering contest had a small collection of cars that no one took care of. This is the obvious and inevitable result.
These photos were taken last week by a FerrariChat.com member who visited the museum in Shaniko, Ore., when it opened in the 1970s, and had last dropped in nine years ago. Where the original museum was "pristine," the barn holding the cars now appears to be neglected; there's no power, the walls have holes and the windows are gone

the 1955 Porsche convertible in the Arkansas Ozark woods... just one of dozens of cars found in the Ozark Natl Forrest, a Natl Park for petes sake! Perhaps they had been stolen and dumped?

Found in in this months (Feb 2012) issue of Auto Enthusiast, a good all around magazine

If you get a thrill out of learning about abandoned cars, like Barn Finds, but up for grabs because they were left in the middle of no where, on public property (the desert, the wide open places between towns in the midwest)  you might alos like a book by Will Shiers, it's called Roadside Relics. Which is on Amazon.com starting at 15 bucks used, all the way to a hundred bucks for new hardcover editions http://www.amazon.com/Roadside-Relics-Americas-Abandoned-Automobiles/dp/0760327483
